This download is for the 3D printable STL files and PuzzleCAD files for 6 of my 3 piece 5x5x5 sized Turning Interlocking Cube designs. These puzzles have never been released in wood (as of Feb 2021).
These designs have a good balance between difficulty and enjoy-ability. The 3 pieces in each design will be difficult to get to form a cube due to the linear and rotational moves required, some of the puzzles require more than 20 moves total. However, identifying where each of the pieces is supposed to go is generally much easier than some of my other Turning Interlocking Cube (TIC) designs. These designs were intended to be numbered by difficulty with 1 being the easiest and 6 being the hardest. That mostly holds true, but 5 might end up being the most difficult to solve.
Purchasing this download will provide you with the STL files to 3D print:
TritanIC 1
TritanIC 2
TritanIC 3
TritanIC 4
TritanIC 5
TritanIC 6
There are several sets of the files with various inset amounts to account for variability between different printers.
The PuzzleCAD file used to generate each STL is also included, along with a link to where to download PuzzleCAD in the READ_ME file. Using PuzzleCAD allows for these STL files to be generated and then printed without requiring any supports. PuzzleCAD uses a clever joint to connect the parts together to form a solid piece. Also included are the files and PDFs describing how I reinforce the joints for these puzzles when I print them so that the joints are very strong.
If you have any troubles with the files please contact me.
